IndieRank is a research workshop for indie developers. We collect the minimum, use it for explicit purposes, and never sell it to third parties. Below is the honest breakdown.
If you create an account
- Email address (required to sign in)
- Display name (optional, public)
- Claimed developer profile keys (only when you claim one)
- Content you publish — articles, beta posts, test reports
- IR Points ledger (earn/spend audit trail)
If you only browse (anonymous)
- Standard anonymous access logs (IP, UA, path) collected by Cloudflare
- localStorage preferences (theme, sidebar state) — never sent to our server
- Third-party analytics (GA, Mixpanel, etc.) — none installed
- Cross-site advertising cookies — none
- Microphone, camera, geolocation, notifications — never requested
- Personal info about unregistered developers — only public App Store metadata
Your email is used (1) only for sign-in authentication. We do not send marketing mail. Any future newsletter will be strict opt-in.
Articles, beta posts, and reports you publish are displayed publicly. You can delete them anytime from the dashboard.
We do not sell or share. The only exception is mandatory legal disclosure (court order, etc.), in which case we disclose the minimum necessary and notify you in advance whenever technically possible.
Infrastructure providers (Cloudflare, Resend) receive the data technically required to deliver the service, governed by their own policies.
You may delete your account at any time (Dashboard > Account settings). Deletion removes published content and associated records. Full backup purge takes up to 30 days.
